Listening to Your Calling
(Dates to be announced)
A bodily-felt exploring of what makes you
come alive...
Who is this for? This is one of those rare classes that works for both complete newbies to Focusing and old hands. By "works," I mean that in past Listening to Your Calling classes, each of the attendees - ranging from one person with no experience whatsoever in Focusing all the way to another person who had been in weekly Focusing partnership for years - had profound experiences of what makes them come alive, and I expect that you will as well! This class involved Focusing partnerships.
BEING a Healing Space
(Dates to be announced)
Experientially deepening your ability to be a grounded, open and present Companion
Who is this for? This class is for Focusers who have at least the basics of Focusing partnership.
In this class, I'm bringing in my Realization Process teacher hat.
The Realization Process, developed by Judith Blackstone, is a series of guided meditations helping people to experience their own bodies as the ground of being/Buddha nature, etc.
Our goals in this class are not so lofty! We will be using various RP processes that are particularly effective at helping us fully inhabit our bodies and experience it as a safe place.
Why would we want to do that?
As Focusers, we understand the importance of our bodies as the locus of transformation.
Nevertheless, we are products of a culture wired to habitually live in our heads and in our emotions. And our "understanding" of the importance of the body doesn't always trickle down into our actual Focusing process or our experience of ourselves.
Through the RP processes, over time we deeply experience the fully lived-in body as a grounded, open, and above all safe space that makes it possible for us to open up to all that arises in our experience.
Basic Class Format:
Half the class involves doing RP processes that I have selected as being most useful at helping us be the grounded and open space that is most conducive to the unfolding of our bodily felt sense of our lives.
Half the class involves Focusing partnership, so students can have a chance to experience how what they've learned affects their Focusing.
